Standard LD-V1000 firmware required - The LD-V1000 players that were used in the game Badlands contain firmware that was modified by Konami.  The EPROM in these players must be restored to Pioneer's original firmware to work in Thayer's Quest.
Download the standard Pioneer LD-V1000 EPROM image.

Conversion Cards - LaserCon is a Laserdisc player conversion card for Thayer's Quest.  You can replace any of the above mentioned Pioneer laserdisc players with newer supported Pioneer laserdisc players.  For more information, check out the LaserCon page.

The LaserAce conversion card will let your laserdisc game use a variety of different laserdisc players.  Unfortunately these cards are no longer in production, but can still be found on eBay or the D-L-P Classifieds occasionally.

Kit Information - Thayer's Quest was released as a conversion kit only.  The Dragon's Lair wiring harness, laserdisc interface ribbon cable, and score display interface ribbon cable plug directly into the Thayer's Quest main logic board.

Keyboard Emulator - Warren Ondras hits the laserdisc game hacking scene with his first hack for the D-L-P.  "TQkey" is a keyboard emulator that allows you to use a standard computer keyboard in place of the ultra rare Thayer's Quest keyboard.  Definitely check out Warren Ondras's TQKey.

Uncensored ROM - Hear those bad words that the game would never say.  See Jeff Kulczycki's Thayer's Quest Uncensored Rom Hack.

LD-V1000 Boot Switch - A simple inexpensive way to build a switch that issues a play command to your LD-V1000 or LD-V1001Check it out here.

Easter Eggs - See some of the things the programmers / animators left in the game.  Check out Laserdisc Game Easter Eggs.
